Safeguarding information for parents

At Plumpton School we take the Safeguarding of our children very seriously, and believe we have a responsibility to act if we are worried about a child. A two way communication with our parents is crucial to this process.

All children have a right to be safe no matter who they are or what their circumstance.

If, at any time, you have any worries concerning the welfare of a child, you can speak to any member of staff in total confidence who will then refer it to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead

Miss Jennifer Ross, Robins Class Teacher

The Deputy Safeguarding Leads

Mrs Briony Williams, Deputy Head of School

Mrs Claire Wood-Keeley, Inclusion Manager

Mr Stewart James, Executive Head

Mr Matt Dean, Interim Executive Head

Safeguarding Lead Governor

Mrs Alison Gardiner

All our staff receive regular Safeguarding training and each carry guidance of what to do in the event of a Safeguarding disclosure.

Please find our safeguarding policies below:

Please see below for parent guides from the NSPCC, including a pamphlet entitled 'Is my child ready to go out alone?' which includes useful information if you are considering arranging for your Key Stage Two child to walk home from school by themselves.
Online Safety

Online Safety is incredibly important to safeguard children and is regularly taught to our children through our curriculum.

The importance of Online Safety is discussed throughout the year in every year group. This is supported by our Year 6 Digital Leaders, Online Safety Days and ongoing class discussions in Computing lessons.
